IGHALO to lead GRANADA's attack

Granada will play their next league games starting from this weekend's clash against Valencia with Odion Ighalo as the only striker available for selection.

After a disappointing half season, Italian forward Antonio Floro Flores has left the Andalusian club to sign for Genoa. Youssef El Arabi (Morocco) and Darwin Machis (Venezuela) have both been called up by their respective countries for the African Cup of Nations and the South American Under 20 qualifying tournament.

Granada are unlikely to buy new players to act as cover in the winter transfer market. Thus, former Flying Eagles skipper Odion Ighalo is the only front-man available to coach
Juan Antonio Anquela.

Ighalo, who was Granada's top scorer last season, is still searching for his first goal this campaign after 8 matches.
However, Ighalo scored the historic goal that catapulted Granada back to the Spanish top flight after an absence of 35 years.

The former Julius Berger of Lagos star captained Nigeria at the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt.

He is a fast, technically gifted striker, who can also play on the wings.
